REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
(a) Vancouver Chess School reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or unavailability of instructors. If this situation arises, all fees for the cancelled classes will be refunded.
(b) It is Parent’s responsibility to cancel the private class or tournament (or other chess events) in student’s profile on our website before the indicated deadline. The amount for cancelled event will be added to student’s balance on our website.
(c) There is no refund available for missed group classes.
In case the student fails to attend a group class; this class will be automatically shown as “Missed class” on his/her profile. The student will have the opportunity to take the missed class with another group on the day and time when the missed topic becomes available. It is Parent’s responsibility to check “Upcoming classes” on our website and register the student for this class.
Missed classes’ content is not accessible online until the students make up the classes with other groups.
(d) Late admission – After assessment by the coach, new student may be deemed capable of inserting into the module that has already started. Under this circumstance, student will be charged on pro-rated basis for the group lessons that will be taken. The online content of the unattended classes of the specific module will be available to the student at the cost of $10 per class. The student should work through the online materials on his/her own. If the student needs assistance, private classes can be arranged.
(e) All requests for refunds must be made in writing. Credit or cheque refunds, less a $25 administrative charge per program, per child, will be issued for all program cancellations up to ONE WEEK (7 days) before the first day of the program. There are NO REFUNDS within the ONE WEEK period before the first day of the lesson. Pro-rating and refunds are NOT available for days absent, or for any other reasons, including injuries or illness.
