PAWN ENDGAME WORKSHOP | JAN 19
VCS is excited to present a new workshop series beginning in January 2022 on Pawn Endgames. Legendary World Champion Jose Capablanca stated that 'to improve at chess you should in the first instance study endgames', a statement eloquently summing up the importance of this final phase of the game. Studying endgames has been proven to have a positive impact on all aspects of a player's game, for all levels of players.
BC Chess Federation President and endgame expert Stephen Wright will run the workshops in a dynamic format, with thematic endgame tournaments, solving puzzles and other activities. Students will receive a certificate of completion at the end of each semester.
