π Canadian Youth Chess Championship (CYCC) Training Camp
With the CYCC 2026 approaching, we are offering a specialized training program to help students prepare at the highest level. Whether you’re aiming to qualify for the World Youth, reach the podium, or simply play your best tournament yet, this program provides the structured support needed for success. πͺβοΈ

Students will receive detailed analysis of their past tournament games from VCFs, Keres, GPO, BC Open, etc. (Please submit PGNs or scoresheets in advance.)

π Drop Off / Pick Up
Campers should arrive between 8:30–9:00 AM for check-in. Campers must be signed in/out by authorized individuals.
π Please print and bring the consent form on the first day (emailed in advance).
π Pizza lunch provided for all campers!
π΅ Fees: 2-Day Camp (Wed to Fri)
- Full Day (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM): $220
π¨π©π§ Sibling discount: 20% off for 2nd or more students in same family - Half Day (9:00–1:00 PM or 1:00–5:00 PM): $150

π Policies
β Camp Confirmation
Minimum of 6 students required. When confirmed, the camp will be marked “Confirmed” on our Events page and email notices will be sent 5 days before start.
π° Full refund provided if minimum is not met.
β Withdrawal Policy
Withdrawals with refund must be submitted in writing more than one week prior to the camp start date.
- No refunds within one week of camp or once camp has started
- No pro-rated refunds for missed days
π‘οΈ General Policy
VCS reserves the right to refuse or dismiss any participant to ensure safety and enjoyment for all.
π£οΈ English communication skills are required.
πΈ Photography
VCS may take photos or videos during camp for promotional purposes (e.g. website, social media, flyers).
If you do not want your child’s image to appear, please notify us in writing before the event.
