Virtual Spring Camps | Spring 2021

VCS is happy to be offering our popular Spring camps in a new online format. These camps will be 2.5 hours long each day from 9 am – 11:30 am. Campers will participate in a variety of activities, including lessons, tournaments, and master game analysis, all occurring in a virtual classroom on Zoom with our experienced coaches. Students who maintain strong participation, increase their rating and pass the test can be eligible for promotion to the next level. See our promotion requirements here.

Topics of instruction will include opening preparation, endgame technique, and tactic sharpening. In addition to the daily lesson, coaches will be running tournaments in various formats. Some of these will be CMA-rated to help students increase their ratings. Students will also be able to learn in ChessHeroes.

We are excited for this new camp format that will allow our students to continue enjoying chess while staying safe this Spring.
