3-Day National/ Provincial championships training program

全国/省级象棋锦标赛 3天集训营

This program is intended to prepare our students for the provincial and national chess championships.  It is open to all levels, from beginners to advanced players. Students will be grouped based on their rating levels, and will receive specific training to enhance their tournament performance. Students can set their goals to participate in Regional, Provincial or National or any combinations.   

 

This intensive program provides additional training on top of regular group and private classes. The topics will include but not limited to:

* Explanation of general chess rules & specific rules applied in the Provincial/National championships

* Time management in chess tournaments (how to use your time wisely for different time control games)

* Practice games using the same time control as Provincial/National championships 

 

Training in:

* Opening preparation

* Tactics exercises

* Learning different strategic concepts

* Endgame practice

* Improving calculation skills

* Rated tournaments with game analysis

 

Online homework after each workshop is a key component in this program to ensure the participants have opportunities to review what they have learnt. We request the students to complete the homework as mandatory exercises in this program.  Students can work at their own pace and work through the weeks until the next workshop.  Coaches are available to help if any questions arise. Please remember all the activities are designed to be building blocks to assist our students to reach their peak performance at the major chess championships.   

 

This year we are planning to play in all the Regional/Provincial/National event as one team.

3-Day Registration fees: $240 

Sibling discount $60 off for 2^nd member or higher in the family.    

1-Day Registration fees: $90

Sibling discount $30 off for 2^nd member or higher in the family. ½ day option is not available.

全国/省级象棋锦标赛 集训营

主教老师：VCS校长Maxim Doroshenko (2642 CFC),国际棋联大师&2011年BC省冠军

 

这个训练营是专门培训我们的学生去参加国家级和省级象棋锦标赛而设的。欢迎各水平的棋手来参加，初学者或者高手都可以来。我们会根据每个学生的等级分组训练，帮助他们加强去参加比赛所需的各项技能。每个学生可以设立自己去参加地区或省级或国家级比赛想要达到的目标。

 

这个强化集训营将提供除了正常大课和私教课以外的很多额外训练。

有以下这些主题（但不仅限于这些）：

* 在省级/国家级比赛中适用的各项规则；

* 象棋比赛中的时间管理（怎样在各个不同时间规定的比赛中最合理地运用时间）；

* 模拟比赛（完全按照国家级/省级比赛时间）

 

具体训练内容有：

* 开局准备

* 战术练习

* 学习各种不同的战术和概念

* 残局练习

* 提高计算的能力

* 可积分的各项比赛以及赛后分析

 

每次集训后的网上作业非常重要，参加者可以抓住机会复习他们学到的东西。在这个集训营里，学生们必须完成他们的作业。只要在下一个训练开始前，学生都可以按照自己的节奏进度来完成作业，有问题可以随时问老师。我们所有的活动和教学内容都是为了帮助学生在大型赛事上有最出色的表现打下扎实的基础。

 

今年我们学校将组建一个队伍去参加所有地区/省级/国家级赛事。
