2016 Victoria Championship

15-17 January 2016   

 

• Location: Comfort Inn and Suites, 3020 Blanshard Street, Victoria

• Sections: Victoria Championship (by invitation), Victoria Open (Swiss format, open to all) 

• Prizes:  Trophies for Championship, Open, and U1600 or unrated. Modest cash prizes based on 30 or more entries 

• Entry Fee:  $40 up to and including January 4, then $50 up to and including January 13.  Registration onsite:  $50.  $10 per player family discount 

• Time Control: Game/90+30 sec. increment 

• 5 Rounds:  Fri. 6pm, Sat. 10am and 3pm, Sun. 10am and 3pm 

• Accommodation: Comfort Inn 250-382-4400.  $85/night; free parking, internet and hot breakfast.  Mention Victoria Chess when booking.  www.comfortvictoria.ca

• CFC membership required.  Annual fee $38 adult, $25 junior.  Available on site.   Membership free for unrated juniors (good for this event only)
