In Person Pro-D Chess Camp

Location: Vancouver Chess School 温哥华国际象棋学校

Jericho Village Shopping Centre # 312-2083 Alma Street, Vancouver, BC (Ample free parking)

 

Who can join:  All grades P-12, including beginners. Basic knowledge of chess is required.

Time:  9:00am – 3:00pm

Please arrive at least 5minutes before 9:00am. Before & after daycare will be available upon request. See notes below.

 

Camp activities:

 

Here are samples of our interactive activities:

o   Chess lessons using electronic presentations and videos.

o   Chess Tournaments in a variety of fun formats: Rapid, Blitz, Bughouse, Blindfold.

o   Chess Puzzle exercises, Game Analysis, Chess Simultaneous Exhibitions

o   CMA Rated Quad tournament for intermediate and advanced players

  

Prizes:  All Quads, Blitz & Bughouse winners will receive a medal

Ratings:  Quad tournament - CMA rated

 

Registration Fees & payment:    

 

o   Full Day: 9:00am – 3:00pm >> $75 Sibling discount $25 off for 2^nd or higher member of the family

o   Half day: 9:00-12:00pm or 12:00-3:00pm >>> $50. No sibling discounts.

 

 

Camp space is reserved upon the full payment online.

 

Pizza lunch and drink is provided. 

 

Drop off/Pick up

We ask campers to arrive between 8:30-9:00am to check in. Please print and submit the consent form on the first day of camp. You will find this form in our email. Campers must be signed in at drop off and signed out at pick up by authorized individuals.

 

Extended hours for working parents at no extra charge! Free Early Drop-Off: 8:30 am Late Pick-Up: 3:30 pm

 

What to bring:

Please snacks and water.  No lunch re-heating service available.  

Please note that our school is a nut-free zone.

Please leave your electronic gadgets at home.

VCS reserves the right to use any photos taken during the event for promotional purposes, unless parents request in writing that their child’s image not appear in any promotional literature.
