My child had a great experience here. She got so much interest in chess after taking summer camp here. They even provide pizza lunch for camps.

Vancouver Chess School is the best chess academy. Their chess coaching methods encourage kids to learn even the most difficult aspects of the game. Not only the chess made the kids smart, but they also are very disciplined and creative. I would highly recommend Vancouver Chess School to everyone out there.

We are so happy that we found Vanchess school and registered online classes for our son to learn chess. It is definitely the right choice. Our son shows great interest in playing chess, active thinking and answer questions in classes, attends online tournament, joins chess club, does everyday tactics challenge, etc. Each one that he does is to improve his chess skills. The chess hero is also a fun thing for the kids to engage, by doing homework, competing with each other, you earn points/gems so that you can upgrade the equipments for your own chess hero. During the almost 2 years of learning chess, our son learned a lot of different skills, thanks to Vanchess that creates this fun learning experience for all the students.

Thank you, VCS, for providing the training sessions, invitational, and practice tournaments for the long term support of Canadian Chess Challenge competition. My son had chess lessons with VCS in his early stages, and this foundation helped him win the national championship. The photo shows GM Hikaru Nakamura's surprise visit during a training session, where he even played a game with a Team BC member. What a great encouragement for the team!

My boys take 2 programs in Vancouver Chess School. They joined the NPP program around one and half years ago. The course is a little bit hard for them which I believe is a good thing. If you want your kid to be a competitive and serious player, this is for you. They improved a lot after 3 months' study. They learnt endgame theories and play monthly internal tournaments and other games. They need to finish very challenging homework every week. Around a month ago, Aiden joined Team BC for the national challenge. VCS organized the preparation and offered some training sessions. Aiden benefits from the training sessions, for example, how to prepare the games against your opponents and how to prepare a very important tournament. We want to thank all the nice coaches and staff in Vancouver chess school. My boys love chess. Luckily they met VCS.
